Best Time to Visit
A colossal expanse of 87.5 sq kms and myriad alpine flowers makes this place a colorful paradise. Valley of flowers opens on 1st June every year and closes on 4th October. You will find maximum number of flowers in July and August. Valley of flowers opens at 7.00 am every day and last entry is allowed till 2.00 pm.
In July, Valley of Flowers color is lush green and all the flowers are in full bloom, you will see the pink shade of huge colony of Epilobium. In August, the plants get mature and you can see lesser number of flowers are visible. Leaves of the plants starts turning color to yellowish green/peach. September is the last phase when Valley of Flowers is accessible to general public, snowfall will start in the month of the October, and Valley of Flowers will be snow capped again and all the plants will shed seeds for next season.
