On May 2, 2015, Chickillo was drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round (212th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. On September 6, 2015, he was waived by the Steelers after initially making the 53-man roster. He was signed to the practice squad three days later. Over his career, Chickillo’s special-teams snaps outnumbered those he played on defense both in total and in four of his six seasons.
