Another name for this flower is lisianthus or prairie gentian flower. This flower is native to warm regions of the southern United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Northern South America. As Gorgeous rose-like blooms, this plant becomes a fabulous addition to any garden or bouquet. Moreover, Lisianthus flowers are a wonderful gift for Sagittarians (born between November 22 and December 21). Lisianthus is a long-stemmed flower in cymes, with often only a few openings at a time. Sepals on Lisianthus are only fused close to the base and are much smaller than petals.
